Oct. 17, 2025
Route 14:
Due to the closure of 25th Ave S between 17th St. S & 18th St. S, Route 14 will be detoured for 2 weeks beginning October 17th.
Outbound Detour: Route 14 will turn south onto 15th St. S, then east onto 27th Ave S.
Inbound Detour: Reverse of outbound.
Riders can request pick-up or drop-off at any safe intersection along the route detour path. When waiting to board, be sure to wave to the approaching bus to get the attention of the driver. Grey bus stops cannot be serviced during this detour. Detours are subject to change, check the website before each trip.

Route 20:
Due to the closure of 8th St. W, Route 20 will be detoured October 17-31.
Detour: Route 20 will turn south onto Sheyenne St., east onto 13th Ave W, back on route.
Riders can request pick-up or drop-off at any safe intersection along the route detour path. When waiting to board, be sure to wave to the approaching bus to get the attention of the driver. Grey bus stops cannot be serviced during this detour. Detours are subject to change, check the website before each trip.
Oct. 10, 2025
Route 04:
Beginning October 10, Route 4 will be able to access Park View Terrace again. The long-term detours on Route 4 are still in effect. Please see the attached map that shows the ongoing Route 4 detours.
Also, due to the construction on 34th St North between Hwy 10 and 3rd Ave N, buses will NOT be able to pick up passengers at any bus stop/shelter in that construction zone.
The pick up locations for this area will be:
Route 3 at Runnings
Routes 4, 6 and 9 at Walmart
Oct. 6, 2025
Route 06:
Beginning immediately, Route 6 will have an updated detour due to continued road work on 34th Street in Moorhead between Hwy 10 and 34th St N and the closing of the intersection at 34th St and 3rd Ave N. Route 6 will take Hwy 10 between 34th Street and Co Rd 9.
NOTE: The 34th Street will remain open but will be head-to-head traffic. MATBUS will not be able to pick up passengers in this construction zone.
This is in addition to the detour off the frontage road by CVS.
Jul. 14, 2025
Route 03:
Beginning July 14, 34th Street in Moorhead will be closed between Hwy 10 and 4th Ave S. Because of this, Route 3 will have major detour affecting a large portion of the route.
This detour is expected to last until October 2025. The detour paths may change as the construction project areas shift.
Route 3 will take 20th St northbound to Hwy 10 from 12th Ave S. The route will take the Hwy 10 frontage road between 28th St & 32nd St, then turn north onto 32nd St. The route will then travel by Runnings to 30th St N and back to Hwy 10. The detour by Runnings is set in preparation for other construction starting the following week, limiting access to the Cash Wise parking lot from 34th St. Route 3 will NOT be accessing 12th Ave S, 4th Ave S and 34th St.

Route 09:
Beginning July 14, 34th Street in Moorhead will be closed between Hwy 10 and 4th Ave S. Because of this, Route 9 will have a major detour affecting a large portion of the route.
These detours are expected to last until October 2025. The detour paths may change as the construction project areas shift.
Route 9 will take Hwy 10 and SE Main to get to Walmart. Route 9 will not be able to access the Horizon Middle School area, and the Menards/Moorhead Learning Center area. Riders will be able to board Route 9 at existing Route 3 bus stops on 12th Ave. S.
Also, due to the construction on 34th St North between Hwy 10 and 3rd Ave N, buses will NOT be able to pick up passengers at any bus stop/shelter in that construction zone.
The pick up locations for this area will be:
Route 3 at Runnings
Routes 4, 6 and 9 at Walmart
Route 6 on 3rd Ave N just east of 34th St (until this intersection gets closed).
